Do you qualify to enter China again?

Under certain conditions, foreigners can enter China again.

Chinese embassies in several countries have releases the news that people of the following three categories can enter China again if they have been vaccinated with a Chinese Covid vaccine.

• Foreigners and their families who go to China to resume work can submit applications according to the requirements before the Covid epidemic. This means that there is no need to provide a PU Invitation Letter, a TE Invitation or "invitation verification form.
• Foreign family members of Chinese citizens or permanent residents if the reason for going to China is family reunion, family support, visit relatives, attending a funeral or visiting relatives who are critically ill.
• Holders of a valid APEC Business Travel Card can apply for a business visa with an invitation letter from a Chinese entity.

People with a valid vaccination certificate are no longer required to provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate and a travel trajectory and health declaration form when submitting their visa applications. On arrival, they do still need to go through a quarantine period.

As of April 13th, vaccinations are available for foreigners in China. In Guangdong Province, for example, vaccination has started in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhuhai. In other provinces, similar policies are in use.

Relevant information is updated daily, so pay attention to news releases of the local vaccination points where you live to make an appointment for vaccination.

This also means that if you are currently in China and you have avoided travelling abroad because you are concerned of not being able to return to China, your options to travel abroad and return are finally increasing.
